In this article our Shaykh Rabī’ Ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī (ḥafiẓahullāh) mentions a very salient point regarding the people of innovation and how they should be dealt with. He differentiates between the clear callers to falsehood and the laymen who are misled, explaining that the leaders of the people of innovation are to be warned against and abandoned, whereas the common folk from amongst them should be taught.
